Hello,
Not sure if this has been requested or not, my search did not come up with this topic.
Could DietPi be configured to boot from an SSD? I've been looking to purchase this bad boy - http://www.pi2design.com/store/p1/502SS ... hield.html and add an mSata SSD drive to my Pi for use with Zabbix Proxy (which requires that I use a database). Since an SDHC card will probably be killed with a database running on it running an SSD drive and booting from this drive will be much safer.
Thanks!
Boot from SSD Topic is solved
Re: Boot from SSD
You'll always need an SD card to boot from but you can move the file system to an external drive and then it all runs from there.

As another option:
I improved rootfs transfer support in DietPi-Drive_Manager for v145, offers a simple menu method for rootfs transfer (RPi/Odroid only):
