I got this BananaPi M2+ and it looks like this is a nasty one (?)

Which (if any) stable DietPi version should I install on it?

Hi,

many thanks for your message. You could try using an Armbian image and run DietPi PREP script afterwards

1. Setup the available Armbian image for Bananapi M2+ https://www.armbian.com/banana-pi-m2-plus/
2. if this is running, try to setup DietPi using this guide https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/1285

Focal and Bionic are the sole 2 marked as "stable" there (in "server" version).
Which of the 2 do you recommend ?

You could try Buster Desktops. It contains a lot of not needed stuff but this should get removed during PREP script executed.
