Re: RPi 4 Samba LAN Copy Speed is Terrible

Could you see what copying the file over the LAN is like (ethernet, not wifi) ... wifi is never going to get anywhere near full speeds.

Re: [Tutorial] How to get your NanoHatOLED to work

Glad you managed to work out all the kinks :)

On a side note I'm kinda flattered my little script modification is getting popular, I even spotted it out in the wild (only version 1 of the script though .. they really should update)

Re: [Tutorial] How to get your NanoHatOLED to work

What does your output of

Code: Select all

sudo i2cdetect -y 0
look like?

This is what mine looks like (NanoPi NEO2)

Re: NanoHat OLED

Make sure you grab the updated script for the display https://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3077#p14082, without it you'll get some nasty screen burn in about a month (plus I love having the DietPi logo on startup).

Re: [Tutorial] How to get your NanoHatOLED to work

Just updated from 6.19.7 to 6.24.1 and everything is working for me, I'm assuming the more recent versions of DietPi have a workaround in place for whatever gremlins were affecting people.

Re: Zerotier

I have been using it for the past couple of months with my NanoPi NEO2 and NEO4, it's been a joy to use and gets my vote to be added to the DietPi software lineup.

Re: NanoPi NEO4 - experiences so far

So far this little board has been an absolute pleasure to use, the only niggle I'm having with it is that occasionally (about once or twice per week at random) its SMB file shares drop out for about a minute, the shares always come back without needing to reboot but any file copy (on or off) ends up...

Re: How do I update Pi-hole

I had this exact same problem, my (hacky) solution was to back up my current pi-hole configuration (whitelist, blacklist etc). Use the dietpi-software utility to uninstall pi-hole and then use the utility to re-install it. After that it was just a couple of minutes to reconfigure it to how I had it ...
