Re: [SOLVED] NordVPN - Transmission,Plex - Seeding not work, no Port Forwarding

luzifia Actually it makes sense that requests from outside through your VPN to your machine do not work. The whole idea behind the VPN is to have the peers outside not see you, but only see the VPN provider instead. So you are anonymous. But of course when sending a request from outside to the Nord...

Re: [Solved] New install 6.22 Odroid xu4 MariaDB error

moved /dietpi/userdata to /home/john. MariaDb does not start with error: Ah yeah now I understand that ProtectHome=true is an issue then. Was reading about the solution first and way freaking out what the connection between /home /root /run/user and /var/lib/mysql /mnt/dietpi_userdata/mysql should ...

Re: Emby Keeps Crashing

Hmm just tried it on VM and works fine here. How do you face the issue exactly? You add the exFAT drive as Emby media library. Then you add media to it, e.g. via console or copying it from an external machine. Then you reattach to the DietPi and e.g. (re)scan the library with Emby? It possibly has s...

Re: [SOLVED] DietPi Native PC data transfer SLOW

Thanks for sharing your solution. While reading the start, I just wanted to say that 11.7MB/s perfectly fits to 100Mbits network, so it's the network to look at, not the DietPi. Yeah I also found in cases connecting devices through multiple switches causes issues, so having everything connected to o...

Re: New Tinker Board S Install - All Browsers Crash

@Milkman Dan
Which solution in particular was it? The new Chromium version for TinkerOS or --use-gl=egl? Perhaps it's even removing --use-gl=egl from the default flags.

Re: [SOLVED ][HC1] running Benchmarks leads to reboot

AndrewZ Your external SSD does not have a dedicated power supply? I highly recommend, especially with root fs on it, since a USB port is usually not made to power more than a USB flash drive, especially on SBCs. Generally you can run dmesg to check for kernel error messages related to low voltage.

Re: Emby Keeps Crashing

canabino Sorry for the late reply. dietpi-services start emby Similar to the service status command it needs to be "emby-server" ;). Very interesting find with the file system issue, I will check that as well. _________ Ah you reported already on Emby forum. That's good, let's hope for a soon reply...

Re: Create a DietPi based distro ?

FredericGuilbault Interesting project. If you want to use DietPi as base OS, the following might be good to know: DietPi images are not built from scratch but on top of ready to run images. E.g. our Raspberry Pi image(s) are based on Raspbian Lite, Odroid images are based on minimal Debian images f...
