The correct syntax on Windows is:

//192.168.0.1/dietpi (you had \ not /)

But have you installed Samba?

Hi,
one more question: did you used "dietpi-software" to setup samba?

User: dietpi
Password: <your own dietpi pw>
Pls let us know if a solution is working. This could help others if they hit by similar situation. Your DietPi Team

Thx, worked perfectly. 2 quick questions
1. How do I know it’s saving to my mounted hdd and not my sd card? I had to delete nextcloud cuz it kept saving to my sd and I couldn’t figure out how to change it.

2. If it’s that change path command on the software page, how do I find my hdd path? Also, do u know how to do this on nextcloud?

Within NextCloud you could activate the external storage addon. This will allow you to add external devices/ mount points to your NextCloud
