Not sure if this counts as a bug, but it's been annoying the hell out of me...
dietpi-wifi-monitor will go into a reconnect loop if the server it pings filters the pings.
I couldn't find logs, or what generates the script, so I copied it to /etc, then uninstalled it from dietpi-config.
running it standalone with error messages to stdout soon showed the problem. Changing the pinged ip to 184.108.40.206 fixed it. it seems that my gateway doesn't doesn't care to be pinged. I don't have access to it. I'll just start my tweaked one at boot. I have also set a three ping count to reconnect as my flaky wifi often goes down a few seconds, then comes back.
