Re: Disable proftpd

Has this changed?
I tried this method to stop squeezelite and mopidy to run when I don't need them, but this is what happens:

Code: Select all

root@OPiZero:~# systemctl mask squeezelite
Failed to execute operation: File exists

NanoPi M3 does not boot after installation of OpenVPN

Hello!
Fresh install of DietPi on a NanoPi M3. Updated the system, then rebooted. Installed openvpn. Rebooted.
M3 does not boot anymore.
Blue led blinks a couple of times then it turns off. Red led is on.

Have no idea what happened.
Suggestions?
Thanks

Re: DietPi as VPN Router

Thanks, but piVPN does a different thing: it creates an openvpn SERVER.
I want an always-on openvpn CLIENT connected to my VPN service, to be used as a gateway (so that other devices can use this gateway to access the internet through this secure connection).

Re: DietPi as VPN Router

OK, two findings so far, after checking step by step: 1. The section of the tutorial called "Enable VPN at boot" is useless and harmful, it must be skipped . 2. The section of the tutorial called "VPN Kill Switch" disrupts something, and the result is that the connection is not s...

Re: Mopidy does not update the database

Apologies for the delay and many thanks investigating this. No problem! Always glad to help! Please, don't shoot the messenger. I'd give you a thumbs up, but our PHPBB forum is a little "vintage" with emote offerings, lol. No problem, again! :) And they arguably want to be installing and ...

[SOLVED] DietPi as VPN Gateway

Hello, I've been trying to make a VPN Gateway based on DietPi. I have installed DietPi on my Raspberry Pi because I want a very minimal system, and then I've followed this tutorial: https://gist.github.com/superjamie/ac55b6d2c080582a3e64 Unfortunately it does not seem to work: I can manually start a...

Re: Mopidy does not update the database

The programmer of mopidy (who helped me with this issue) asked me to pass the following information: "ask the people at DietPi what they are trying to do with this config: github.com Fourdee/DietPi/blob/master/dietpi/dietpi-software#L8480-L8483* library = images media_dir = $FP_DIETPI_USERDATA_...

Re: Mopidy does not update the database

Ok, it looks like the problem is the file /usr/sbin/mopidyctl and specifically this line: DAEMON_USER=“mopidy” It looks like user mopidy does not have the permissions to write in the /mnt/dietpi_userdata/mopidy/dat /local directory. Editing the file into: DAEMON_USER=“root” solved the problem, altho...
