Re: Copy speed via Samba AND SFTP is HORRIBLY SLOW
Firstly, I was never a developer for this thing so I don't know its ins and outs completely. Secondly, the site basically says its a distro. It's a Debian based OS. That's a distro. Whether you want to call it Debian with scripts or not , I couldn't care less. The point of this thread is feedback. C...

Copy speed via Samba AND SFTP is HORRIBLY SLOW
I've tried ext4, NTFS AND freaking exFAT. Copy speed absolutely sucks. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of RAM. It has Gigabit Ethernet and is connected to an Asus AC68U. My harddrive is a 2TB 7200rpm USB 3.1 drive. It's max copy speed is 120MB/s. I'm trying to copy to my Laptop which has an Inte...

Re: apt upgrade keeps freezing
Nvm, seems it works. It just took a long time, like a really, really long time. htop wasn't showing any CPU activity but somehow it took over 30 minutes.

Replace all ftp clients with pure-ftpd
Hi, Please considering replacing both the current ftp clients we have in dietpi-software with this one: https://www.pureftpd.org/project/pure-ftpd/ It is a clearly better alternative than both the unsecure ftp clients that are offered with dietpi. It's also available in dozens of different languages...

Safe reboot? How to?
Title. How to reboot the Raspberry Pi 3 safely? That is, almost every time I've run "reboot now" it kills my installation and the Diet Pi won't reboot. It's annoying that there isn't a safe reboot function in dietpi-launcher or something...

Minor bug when updating to v6.26
When using the launcher to update the first try fails. A retry works fine though.

Re: RPi 4 Samba LAN Copy Speed is Terrible
Well I fixed it myself. The problem was using the exFAT filesystem for my external hard-drive. I reformatted it to ext4 and well, the results speak for themselves:

Re: [Guide] Very basic Wireguard (Mullvad), qBittorrent, External Storage, Pi-Hole and Rpi Monitor setup
16/09/19 - v1.1 Updated and made a lot of the steps easier and reduced the chance you'll run into errors when setting up. 15/12/19 - v1.2 Fixed some typos, made very minor edits. My install ran fine for 3 months exactly without getting any errors. For some reason Wireguard stopped working but with a...

Re: rpi 4 with external hdd enclouser issues
A fan will absolutely fix it. My temps went from well over 66C to under even 36C with a fan and heatsink combo. But I got a very good fan. A 5V Noctua.
