Re: RetroPie Auto Startup Script

Hey Fourdee, I hate to revive this thread, but the issue I just noticed involves the auto startup script. Alright, so currently the autostart calls the emulationstation binary directly, which works nice until a user decides to use the Quit menu within emulationstation. The user would not be able to ...

Re: [HELP] GPIO Interrupt for Shutdown with Button

Ah yes, I ended up hand typing this during that post... I didn't have an easy way to copy and paste the code at the time. Good catch though, and thanks again for the help.

Re: Rpi3 + Plex Media Server + Bittorrent

Heck, try them both out. I'm pretty sure it is extremely easy to uninstall one or the other through the dietpi-software script. I'm glad to see the Plex server is treating you well.

Re: Rpi3 + Plex Media Server + Bittorrent

Hey drake, I'm no pro myself, but here are my suggestions to your questions: 1 - What would be a good/safe overclocking for my setup? or maybe I shouldn't overclock at all? I'd say stress test the Raspberry Pi 3 first without any kind of overclocking to see if it will be able to handle the load. I'm...

Re: [HELP] GPIO Interrupt for Shutdown with Button

Hey, sorry for the late reply, Fourdee. Today, I was able to figure a way to run the python script. I believe the issue is with how raw_input() works. Since raw_input() is looking for data from the user, it would have to be tied with some keyboard file (I'd assume some file in the /dev/input/ folder...

[SOLVED] GPIO Interrupt for Shutdown with Button

Hey everyone, So I've been trying to get a button setup that will be used to shutdown a Raspberry Pi B+ when pressed. I have a python script called "/root/buttonShutdown.py" as follows: # Import the modules to send commands to the system and access GPIO pins from subprocess import call imp...

Re: Kodi 16 on DietPi

Hey CG,

Dietpi should have Kodi within the dietpi-software script to help install it to your system.

I'd check this post to get a step by step install guide for Kodi:

RetroPie Auto Startup Script

Hey guys,

When selecting RetroPie as the startup from dietpi-autostart, what script is being used and where is it located in order to call up emulationstation?

I'm looking to inject a few commands right before emulationstation begins in order to connect a few wii remotes via wminput.

Help to Increase File System Size

Hey everyone, I just flashed the latest DietPi Jessie image (v115) on an 8GB SD card. I noticed that the boot partition takes 60MB, another partition labeled "other" in easeUS taking up 500MB, and then 6.85GB unallocated space. I'm assuming that the "other" partition has to be th...
