Re: Upgrade fails: Repository ... changed its 'Suite' value from 'testing' to 'stable'

Tried running it numerous times, always the same result. I went ahead and tracked down the G_AGUP function, and added the "--allow-releaseinfo-change" option to the apt-get update command. Specifically, I edited the file /DietPi/dietpi/func/dietpi-globals , changing this line: DEBIAN_FRONTEND=nonint...

Upgrade fails: Repository ... changed its 'Suite' value from 'testing' to 'stable'

On Raspberry Pi, I am trying to upgrade DietPi from v6.26.3 to v6.28.0. The dietpi-update command is failing. Here's what it prints when I exit dietpi-update: #### Details: - Date | Sun 5 Jan 22:18:22 CST 2020 - Bug report | N/A - DietPi version | v6.26.3 (MichaIng/master) - Image creator | DietPi C...

Re: [ INFO ] DietPi-Login | DietPi-Software is already running on another terminal/screen

I am having this problem too. My system: v6.20.6 | RPi 3 Model B (armv7l) That is, when I log in, it keeps saying: [ INFO ] DietPi-Login | DietPi-Software is already running on another terminal/screen. Please complete or exit, before continuing. Until I hit Ctrl-C. More info, after looking at this p...

Re: dietpi-services vs systemd vs init

Now even dietpi-services does not seem to honor cpu affinity/scheduling preferences. I'm switching between two different DACs right now, so I'm restarting MPD a fair amount. Example, I first stop mpd via "dietpi-services stop mpd". I verify no mpd process is running. Then I do "dietpi-services start...

Re: dietpi-services vs systemd vs init

FYI, another side-effect of wrapping dietpi-services around systemd: again, if you want cpu affinity/priority adjustments, you can no longer do "systemctl restart <service>", you need to instead use "dietpi-services restart <service>". This is because dietpi-services "owns" the cpu affinity/priority...

Re: dietpi-services vs systemd vs init

MichaIng - thank you! I removed the systemd mpd drop-in I mentioned above, and instead used dietpi-process_tool as you suggested. After reboot, everything had the affinity and scheduling params I wanted. That also explains why the affinity/scheduling I specified in my drop-in appeared to not be hon...

Re: dietpi-services vs systemd vs init

Thank you, that is indeed helpful. I may be overlooking something, but my drop-in doesn't seem to be honored on reboot. Specifically, the stock mpd.service file has this: ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/mpd --no-daemon /etc/mpd.conf And in my drop-in override, I have this: ExecStart= ExecStart=/usr/bin/tas...

Re: Changing kernel commandline options (persistent /boot/cmdline.txt)?

Ahh, thank you, I suppose I could have just tried it, and found it's automatically persistent. :)

Though the note in /boot/config.txt does say "/boot/*" files are over-written, which implies /boot/cmdline.txt. So it is somewhat misleading.

dietpi-services vs systemd vs init

I'm trying to understand where dietpi-services starts and ends versus systemd and/or init. In particular, I want to tweak the runtime parameters of the mpd daemon. It looks like there is a systemd service file for mpd here: /lib/systemd/system/mpd.service However, when I do "dietpi-services enable m...
