Re: VICE on DietPi 7.8.2 on RPi 2B v1.1

Many thanks for your guide. Just in case someone wonders what VICE is: VICE is an emulator collection which emulates the C64, the C64-DTV, the C128, the VIC20, practically all PET models, the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610). So like Amiberry, just for other retro platforms :). About the resolution i...

Re: Pi zero 2 W support

Weird, maybe an older firmware version took the RPi 3 device tree automatically on Zero 2? Is there a kernel upgrade available?

Code: Select all

apt upgrade
If so, and you do upgrade, prepare for being required to mount the drive elsewhere and copy bcm2710-rpi-3-b.dtb to bcm2710-rpi-zero-2.dtb.

Re: No HDMI output on ROCK64 with DietPi 7.8.2

No idea, generally it works, I am just chatting with a guys on the PINE64 forum about Kodi, so display output obviously works for him. Please paste the full kernel logs, let's see if there is something about HDMI:

Code: Select all

dmesg

Re: sdcard/emmc not resized?

As it is about rootfs resizing, in particular the content of the following log file would be great:

Code: Select all

cat /var/tmp/dietpi/logs/fs_partition_resize.log

Re: Kodi Error - Kodi not starting

A reboot is required when the display driver is switched:

Code: Select all

/boot/dietpi/func/dietpi-set_hardware rpi-opengl vc4-kms-v3d
reboot
# after reboot
startkodi

Re: Odroid N2 failing to run stable

If with full logging enabled /var/log/syslog does not contain anything related to the crash, then the system did not or was not able to log anything :(. The kernel did not change for a while, and you say you face the same on the old Buster image, so it must be triggered by something specific to your...

Re: kodi hardware decoder on bullseye

It should be possible to keep bcm2835_isp blacklisted, probably bcm2835_v4l2 as well. Probably bcm2835_codec is the only driver required for video decoding. But good that we found the culprit in general.

Re: How to install KODI 18.7 on Bullseye?

The official legit noaudio parameter breaks KMS? A pity... It did restore the original HDMI sound device, so would be been a good solution. Probably a bug that needs to be resolved firmware wise.

Re: Odroid N2 failing to run stable

Many thanks for your report. Can you paste the kernel errors, at best the surrounding section in journalctl so we can see other possible system logs.

Re: Wi-Fi Connection 5 GHZ Rasp4B

Is the WiFi country code as well set correctly? I remember there were issues with older firmware packages which applied the wrong frequency ranges with some country codes, but that should have been resolved with latest firmware :?. I'll try to find those issues here or on GitHub to verify.
