Re: USB Automount

Getting the Drive Manager setup is not too hard, but you're looking for away to mount / unmount once the drive is plugged in. Maybe if could be done with a button and some GPIO coding? Push button --> button does the work behind the scenes to mount / unmount --> possibly play a sound or flash a LED ...

Re: USB Automount

The diet-pi drive manager would be your best bet AFAIK. That being said, there may be away to do it in linux but I'm not sure. Using the drive manager is pretty easy and quick to do. Why are you wanting to connect / reconnect HDD's all the time? Unplugging the HDD without mounting it is probably no ...

Re: V6 on Pine64 512

Thank you! I will try with the 1G board and report back. Not sure if you've had a chance to get it working but Fourdee figured out my desktop issues. It was a bug of some kind. Refer to the GitHub link on how to fix it. https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/1604 Works great now and super fast.

Re: Monit

+1
I would also like to see Monit as an option to install. It's a great little program running in the background. I've used it with RPi's an it's really simple to use once it's up an running.

Would be a great addition to the DietPi's OS

Desktop environment on Pine 64A+

I've been racking my brains out trying to get any of the desktop environments working on my Pine 64+ 1G board. From reading a bunch of treads and posts on the dietpi site it seems that others have had success getting a desktop up and running. I however have had no such luck. Specs Pine 64A+ 1Gb 16Gb...

Re: V6 on Pine64 512

I can confirm that V6.1 works on the Pine64 + 1G board.

I am however having trouble getting any of the desktop environments to work at the moment. But v6.1 does work

Hi Drew, sorry to hear this. Yes, any things and a lot of stuff has been change with DietPi v6.x. As well base image and file system partition layout. Sorry, no chance to test it here, lack of a Pine64. Can you please provide terminal output of: ls -lah /boot/ df -h lsblk -f Without verify, because...

Transfer rootFS for Pine64

This would be really great to have for the Pine64, as noted in the Drive-Manager section

http://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=673

I have started another topic about this in the Troubleshooting section

http://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2773

Thanks
