Re: onboard wifi not working on dietpi first boot (pi 3)

My router was set to WPA2 so I changed it to WPA but still no dice. During the boot process I can see it says: wpa_supplicant daemon failed to start /run-parts/if-pre-up.d/wpasupplicant fails with error code 1 Can't test from dietpi-config as I have no external keyboard, was planning on SSH'ing in f...

onboard wifi not working on dietpi first boot (pi 3)

Hi, I cannot seem to get a pi 3 to connect to my access point on first boot on DietPi. I add my details in dietpi.txt on the image before dd, adding SSID and password, and setting AUTO_SETUP_NET_WIFI_ENABLED=1 During the boot process I can see that the ifup command fails to bring up wlan0. Naturally...

The RPI image stuck on v150

Hi, Is it possible for those responsible to update the website's downloadable image for RPI, or is there a reason for it still being v150? The current version is v158 so every new installation takes forevet due to it updating itself to the most recent.

Swap partition on DietPi?

Is it possible to create a swap partition on a DietPi system? I'm asking because I'm not totally clear on what DietPi does to save logs to RAM, and if there's anything else I should know about in regards to what DietPi does. Will there be any conflicts or is it as simple as just adding a UUID= line ...

Re: Optimizing boot time (~50s is a long time)

I created a service out of it and now it takes less than 20secs until SSH becomes available! I'm surprised it made that much of a difference.

Optimizing boot time (~50s is a long time)

I'm using DietPi on a pi Zero for a project that requires it to boot asap. I have some scripts I want to execute immediately once the pi is started, and the faster it can get to rc.local and execute the scripts the better. Are there any ways of optimizing the boot time? I've increased the ARM Initia...
