Is upgrade to Debian 13 Trixie possibile on existing Debian 12 X86 machine

I want to upgrade my existing Debian 12 (X86) machine to “Debian 13 Trixie” . is there any upgarde script available for dietpi to upgrade to new operating system.
This time i am running only these softwares ( Homeassistant, mqtt broker, zigbee2mqtt, adguard home, unbound dns, vaultwarden, ftp share, samba share). is any known compatibility issue with any of these programs with (Debian 13 Trixie)? in past i used this script while upgrade debian 11 to 12 (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MichaIng/DietPi/master/.meta/dietpi-bookworm-upgrade) thanks

Trixie is Debian testing branch and we don’t have an upgrade script. We offer Trixie images already but all should be taken as beta version because there could be breaking changes from Debian side as Trixie is in development still.

if it is just need to edit “/etc/apt/sources.list” file than please guide me to edited version of this file i will manually do that. if it is more complicated then i will wait till you expert person not making script till than i will wait. I do not want to do hard flash on my headless machine for new ISO image. thanks
this time this file look like

root@wyse:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm-updates main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bookworm-security main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm-backports main contrib non-free non-free-firmware

if i edit this file (/etc/apt/sources.list) like below, will it work for upgrade

deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie-updates main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ trixie-security main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian/ trixie-backports main contrib non-free non-free-firmware

What is the reason to upgrade to a development branch like Debian Trixie? Until you are not sure what to do, you should not do it. Trixie will be in development until summer 2025.

Ok, if it is not recommended yet, i will wait till some script issued in future by dietpi itself. till than i wait as i do not any requirement to do upgrade. thanks

Don’t expect it soon. It will take another 12 month at least.

No worry, dietpi is so stable i am using since the era from debian Jassie & upgrade on each new version without any trouble. Thanks for all the dietpi team to make a very great product for us.

Found this…it says untested
