USB Drivers for CP210x missing

HI - it looks like DietPi doesn't have support for certain USB devices. E.g. I have an Antminer U3 for bitmining, and it is not recognized by the OS due to a missing CP210x driver - which is supported by default in the recent releases of the Linux kernel.

Here is the specific driver that I would like to install - but I am unable to do so following these directions for Ubuntu and RedHat.

CP2102 Driver:

Is there some easier way to get CP210x support in DietPI?

Hi vidarbrekke,

You can update your kernel/firmware by running rpi-update. I believe its currently 4.1.7, however, not sure if that will support your device.

You can also download and compile the source from the link you posted: http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documen ... _Notes.txt
