Re: Roseapple pi (Lemon pi) support

Did we ever supported (had an own image for) Roseapple Pi? DietPi btw is NOT based on ARMbian. For some devices, many Orange/Banana Pis and possibly Roseapple Pi as well (perhaps before my time), we used ARMbian images in the past as basis, but for many others we did not. And as you can see within t...

Re: Z83-II and other Atom based devices

@kenhas
It looks like Ethernet is listening to DHCP. Could you try to disable Ethernet first and enable WiFi afterwards?

Also you could try the current beta since we worked a bid on WiFi settings and general interface up/down on boot: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/2140

Re: Where is dietpi.txt?

Which image respectively device you use? I can only imagine our UEFI images, wich are bundled with CloneZilla, to not contain the final boot file system. In this case you first need to boot the image from e.g. a USB stick and install/flash the OS via CloneZilla starter onto the final drive. Then you...

Re: BPI-M2 Berry distribution?

If your find any working Debian based image, please try to apply our image preparation script onto the running system. If the device is not listed within the related choice menu, choose "Generic device": https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/blob/beta/PREP_SYSTEM_FOR_DIETPI.sh At least we did support so...

Re: Log file persistence, system and openvpn

Hi slimbrick, you need to change your logging system via dietpi-software . By default logs are cleared every hour (DietPi-Ramlog #1). If you want to stay with RAMlog but store logfiles persistently before cleaning, use DietPi-Ramlog #2 The logfiles will be stored then inside: ~/logfile_storage Use "...

Re: Ethernet issues on Odroid C1 after updating

There is a current issue, that turning on WiFi + Ethernet the same time and on different subnets, e.g. WiFi on 192.168.0.10 while Ethernet is on 192.168.178.10, then WiFi connection breaks, at least without setting up a special routing table: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/2103 This could ...

Re: Nextclout remote access

WarHawk Ui now you open a can of worms. Of course a VPN is the most secure way to access your local network. But then you need to setup a VPN sever and you need to open several ports to access it, which can of course be attacked as well. And every client, mobile phone, work place PC, friends/family...

Re: Nextclout remote access

Webservers by default listen to HTTP requests on port 80 and to HTTPS requests on port 443 and browsers by default sends to this ports as well.

Forward this two accordingly and you should be able to access Nextcloud.
