Re: Rock64 FAN Control?

The dietpi-fan_control script controls the native PWM fan connector, if available, via native sysfs tunables, not a custom GPIO-attached setup. But that idea came up as well: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/1818#issuecomment-852926755 Yes the ROCK64 DietPi image is based on Armbian and bas...

Re: Odroid N2+ and Kodi - slow interface

GPU acceleration doesn't seem to work as expected. I'll verify that all drivers/libraries are installed and otherwise check back with Meveric, who provides the compiled packages.

Re: Setting up Gitea

This was addressing: "Database Settings": Username: phpmyadmin Password: [phpmyadmin password] which is basically wrong, may work, when phpMyAdmin is installed, but not recommended to not grant Gitea admin permissions over the whole MariaDB server. But indeed I somehow missed to read on. N...

Re: Intitial boot issue 4498

Allo ships SBC-based players with an Allo web UI pre-installed image indeed, where no firstrun setup prompt is shown, expectedly. You can however use dietpi-software and dietpi-config etc to do all configuration and setup you need.

Re: uninstalling Pihole

No it's not the same. apt autoremove will leave config files in place, apt autopurge removes packages more cleanly.

Ah in case you run a Stretch image, the "autopurge" shortcut does not yet exist and it is apt --purge autoremove instead.

Re: Home assistant fatal error

Many thanks for your report.

/mnt/dietpi_userdata/homeassistant is missing, but this directory is actually created during install. Can you run and paste the output of:

Code: Select all

ls -l /mnt/dietpi_userdata

Re: uninstalling Pihole

The code is the command. Copy%paste it to your console. A more manual way, as it is about APT packages and it's good to learn how to manage them in general: apt purge dhcpcd5 dnsutils It will show you what will be done, also if other dependant packages are removed, and requires you to confirm. To re...

Re: Setting up Gitea

Gitea has it's own database user (as all software that uses MariaDB, provide by DietPi-Software). Please check our docs, the "First run setup" tab: https://dietpi.com/docs/software/cloud/#gitea The database password is btw not always "dietpi", but the global software password you...
