Hello all gurus and geniuses of the raspberry pi.
So, I got my first raspberry PI recently and I wish to use it as a cloud device. As the title suggest I have a vague understanding of what I am doing, and I am probably in over my head. My goal is to use my two external hard drives (with data on them) as a central storage device that several users/devices can access.
I followed the dietpi instructions, viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10, (and a little youtube) up to step #4. It says the instillation was complete, but know I am left with questions.
How do I launch the owncloud browser?
How do I tell the pi the hard drives are connected to it, or is it just plug and play ?
Any assistance what be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The ownCloud step by step guide is actually outdated. Sorry for that, I will update it this evening.
You don't need to do anything more than installing ownCloud via dietpi-software, all other steps are automated and you can directly access ownCloud web interface via your.domain.org/owncloud or <localIP>/owncloud
You can adjust username and in case data folder before installing via /DietPi/dietpi.txt but in case of data folder, better just use dietpi-software or dietpi-drive_manager to move the whole dietpi_userdata folder to a desired external drive.
