Extra details
I tried without success to install manually the module…
Hi guys, I use webmin for mysql backup, and somehow the necessary module doesn’t install on my new thin client whereas it’s installed on my rock64. I could reproduce the behavior on a Odroid C2. Do you have any idea on how to debug this? A workaround would be great, I search the insternet but I cannot figure it out. Maybe I’m not using the right keywords.
What happens when you try to install it?
Can you give a specific command?
Do you get any error messages?
Or does it just hang, if yes: How long have you waited?
I don’t use command but go with webmin interface. There’s no error. It just hangs (the interface is still responsive but nothing installa). I waited for 3 jours yesterday. I had to restart the server because it was getting pretty warm (>60°), webmin was using a lot of cpu.
I lnow that without logs it’s a bit tricky, but I don’t know where to find those specific webmin logs.
I tested it now with MariaDB and tried to install the cooresponding module, I have also 100% usage on one core from update.cgi which tries to download that module.
I killed that process, downloaded the module manually from https://download.webmin.com/download/modules/ and installed it manually via Webmin → Webmin Configuration → Webmin Modules.
I’m so sorry, I wasn’t clear and mixed up modules and perl modules. Mariadb module is installed, what’s missing and cannot install is the db perl module:
