Right, I was made aware of it via ping on X. Glad to see that the latest RPi OS images seem to have the always on cloud-init solved, which caused a ~5x longer boot time, when I checked those earlier this year: DietPi OS stats & comparison
That and network via NetworkManager also took notably longer, IIRC. I was already thinking to not take systemd-analyze, but getty@tty1.service (the local login prompt) as marker for the boot time measurement. So at least the asynchronous part of network bring up and hanging services which do not delay login possibilities and (other) functionality, are not considered.
EDIT: Shall we move this to the general public category? Maybe others find this interesting as well.
