Run Amiberry after logging in

Hi,

I installed DietPi with Amiberry and its nice that it boots up with it (though the time is always 1-1-1970), however, when I quit and then login into the Raspberry Pi (to perform updates, etc) – I would like to then be able to run a command to launch Amiberry. Unfortunately, when I try I get the following error message:-

error while loading shared libraries: libSDL2_image-2.0-so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I added /usr/local/lib to the path in /etc/bash.bashrc and when I echo $PATH, I can see it there, just wondering is there something else I’m missing. My workaround is just to restart the machine but I’d rather not have to do that just to launch Amiberry.

Hi,

did you tried to run systemctl restart amiberry to launch Amiberry

See as well our online docs - tab Starting https://dietpi.com/docs/software/gaming/#amiberry

Awesome … just tried it … works a treat!

but what is command line for start amiberry?

This is the intended way to start it: The service loads the requires library path and starts Amiberry on main screen.
