Can't access DietPi Dashboard via <IP>:5252 after setup

  • Was the software title installed freshly or updated/migrated? Installed fresh
  • Can this issue be replicated on a fresh installation of DietPi? No idea

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install DietPi Dashboard via dietpi-software
  2. Try to access Web UI via <device_ip>:5252
  3. Connection times out

Expected behaviour

  • dashboard loads correctly

Actual behaviour

  • connection times out

Extra details

  • I have SSH access and can use other services like Jellyfin and PiHole, so ask general connection issue is unlikely.
  • I’m new to homelab stuff, so patience and lots of detail is appreciated, thank you.

which version you installed? Nightly or Stable? If it was stable, try using nightly.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what you mean. I just used dietpi-software and selected it from the “Browse Software” menu. How do I select the version?
