Booting DietPi from PCIe

Hi everyone,

I want to boot my Pi5 with DietPi via PCIe nvme. But I’m nut sure how to do it. There are so much different guides (many using a GUI OS) or different OS. Is there a step by step guide that is working to copy dietpi from sdcard to PCIe nvme?

Just flash it to NVME and set the correct boot order.

Thanks for your answers.

Am I right that in this link Moving a running DietPi system to a USB stick/disk or an onboard eMMC – DietPi Blog I have to set the boot order first?

When I flash DietPi directly on the nvme via balenaEtcher (usb Adapter) I just insert the nvme in the RaspberryPi PCIe slot and it’s working?

yes

yes

My RPI5 is booting from nvme without issue
