The NUC5i5RYH officially only supports Windows 10 while newer NUCs supports Linux. Would DietPi work on this 5th generation NUC directly on bare metal to support the hardware? Is there a way to test without having to wipe the current Windows 10 installation (no recovery drive). Thank you in advance as I could not find this information.
It’s an i5…should work…worse comes to worse…try a debian or ubuntu “live” distro to see if it detects all the hardware and drivers before you blow out the M$ install
Also…make an image of the M$ install so if you ever have to roll it back.,
It should be possible to boot DietPi from USB drive
