WaveShare UPS HAT (E) for Raspberry Pi 5 Dietpi Support

Hi All,

I’m thinking of purchasing a Raspberry Pi 5 16GB board, but I like to have mine setup with a UPS HAT.

Is this WaveShare UPS HAT (E) compatible with Dietpi?

In terms of power distribution there is no difference. Power is delivered by the pins to RPi.
For the monitoring part, if you can do it with Debian it will work in DietPi too, as it is not a standalone distribution. From what I read you need to enable I2C.

Does Dietpi already have an install / setup script for the UPS HAT (E)?

I am currently using the Python script for my Pi 4 UPS B hat setup.

Would this script work for the UPS HAT (E)?

We don’t have own scripts for any heat. Usually the vendor script should work.
