Updating DietPi with Openmediavault fails: timesynd

This is the error I‘m getting (shortened a bit) when I run „dietpi-update“ and I‘m not sure how to go on about this

Well, the time sync service has been mask. Does OMV has an own time sync process? If yes, you would need to set Time sync mode to Custom. This way you will skip this step during update process.

Did you figure this out?

I installed openmediavault over dietpi and seeing this error too.

I set NTP as “Custom” in dietpi-config but still failing. I think I need to change the command thats run when “DietPi-TimeSync” executes. Which one is it for OMV?

pls can you reboot your system and share following afterwards

systemctl status systemd-timesyncd
cat /boot/dietpi.txt | grep NTP_MODE
