RPi Model B
Linux DietPi 6.1.21-v8+ #1642 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 3 17:24:16 BST 2023 aarch64 GNU/Linux
MOTD : DietPi v9.8 is here. Check out all changes:
[ OK ] DietPi update | Got valid latest version: 9.8.0
[ OK ] DietPi-Update | No update required, your DietPi installation is already up to date:
as you can see, access via ssh works, but not via Xorg
Browsing through logs, which are located somewhere, is not very helpful here
Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks and greetings
Hello and thank you,
I am accessing dietpi via RDP and would like to access the desktop via root.
The login attempt starts and the ‘screen’ remains light blue for a long time. After a while the message with the picture above appears.
Hi, I’ve been using ChatCPT to help me out, it’s been hours of rounds.
Now I go to dietpi with nomachine, have the resolution set to 700, I can distinguish between display :0 and :10, the iobroker is up to date, before that of course the js-controller (whatever) had to be updated separately and the usual small dependencies had to be taken into account. So it went from one loop to the next loop.
Created a new user: iobroker_futzi, added it to the iorbroker group, I can now switch between dash/bash, log in as any other user, when do I have to use sudo or not
That was a real time burner
Now, when I feel like it again, I want another interface than ‘LXde’ or so
iobroker_futzi@DietPi:~$ iobroker status
iobroker is running on this host.
Objects type: jsonl
States type: jsonl

Not really a solution but have you tried any of the remote software that you can install with dietpi-launcher? I have used nomachine with success on a mac and linux.
