Hi guys,
we had an unexpected server downtime. More precisely the kernel reported some task hang errors, related to the MariaDB server. This did not only lead to an unlimited hanging database, but the webserver and other components, trying to access it, were not responding as well.
We checked for data corruption or loss, but as far as we could see, the databases survived without any table corruption, thus all forum related data survived. The tables have been optimised/rebuilt to prove no corruption is present. The current last activity has the timestamp 16 Aug 2019 23:54, so either it was hanging already since last night, or any activity since then is lost. However, it could have been worse.
We took the chance to update the server to current APT package state and DietPi version, enhanced database caching and webserver settings and made system logs permanent to allow better debugging/tracking for future issues.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused in this context.
Best regards,
The DietPi team
