I have tried several times, on different RPis to install Unbound with PiHole, but always get an error during the install.
Currently, I’m doing a fresh install of DietPi, PiHole and Unbound, but I am once again having an error during the Unbound install.
I’m not smart enough to figure this out. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

first of all sorry have this issue. Actual we have some challenges around installation procedure to get PiHole setup together with Unbound. This will be finally fixed on next update as we will introduce quite some enhancement.
atm you would have 2 options. Wait for the update or we are trying to fix your installation 
That’s actually good to hear! I was really wondering how I kept messing it up! 
I am lazy, so I will wait.

I expect beta phase in Feb or early May.

This guy walks you thru the setup of the unbound w/ pihole and gives example of scripts needed to get them to work together
on my install I too got the error (however it is installed)…since pihole is on #53 it crashes out unbound
Once you install that script/config

then restart and then point pihole to 127.0.0.1#5335
it works just fine
no need to follow external YouTube video or PiHole instructions. All this will be corrected on next update.
