I would need to have eth0 managed by the Network Manager for a specific project.
What do I have to do to make this work?
At the moment eth0 is managed under dietpi-config, i.e. in… /network/interfaces.
When I call the special application, I get the error message:
Default network device eth0 is not manage with NetworkManager.
What can I do?
RPi 3 B
DietPi v9. 9.0
Install NetworkManager, migrate configuration from ifupdown
to NetworkManager and avoid using dietpi-config
network settings afterwards
Could I please find out a little more about how I need to carry out the migration?
The NetworkManager is already installed and the service is running.
You can ask ChatGPT. Usually it should give all information needed. Its not something dietpi specific. Simply search for migration from ifupdown
to NetworkManager
