Support for banana PI CM4

Dear dietPi community,

Is there a provision to add support for recent SBC banana PI CM4?

https://wiki.banana-pi.org/Banana_Pi_BPI-CM4

Meanwhile, SINOVOIP is providing a debian/armbian so I will try a conversion with script.

Thanks for your replies.

Hello,

I am joining with a request for a child for BPI-CM4 since RPI is not available for a long time. Alternatively, has anyone tried the conversion script? for example with debian/ubuntu/armbian ?

well thank you

I can not answer your question, but if you don’t already bought a banana pi, just wait until july. Raspberry Pi Foundation announced that they will produce 1 millions units from july on. Sony is helping them out with the part shortage.

@shajek dietpi transformation didn’t work for me on SINOVOIP custom armbian. GitHub - nerocide/bananapi-cm4_turing-pi2: Banana PI CM4 capability on Turing Pi2

Armbian is on the way to support BPI-CM4 see Bananapi CM4 io and M2S – Armbian

@Jappe they are basicaly doubling there production capacity…too bad it too so long, and industries were priorized before hobbyiest. The good news is the end of round bell or scalpers.

I’m quite pleased with bpi-cm4 so far, except distro suppor, it has much better performance than RPi-CM4.
