[Solved]How to connect outside of dietpi network

Sorry, errata corriege.
After a brutal wire-off wire-on on the Ubuntu Desktop, it is visible again with Anydesk, with a new IP address in the pihole range.
Is it correct the NAS installed in the virtual machine, is still visible with the static IP done in the past, which is out of the pihole range?
Sorry for those stupid questions but it’s hard for me to understand

meanwhile, I’m trying to fix the DDNS locally…

if you use static or dhcp doesn’t matter for the network communication. It’s just a method on how to assign an ip. As long as they are part of the same network range (usually x.x.x.1 > x.x.x.254) it should be fine. In addition it’s a good idea to have static IP outside the DHCP range to avoid address conflicts. Otherwise it could happen the DHCP server is trying to assign same ip you already use for static.

great.
The job is done! I also managed the DDNS locally.
now everything is working fine in and outside of my own network
Thanks again

and as bonus, you have some adblocking active now. don’t be surprised if some advertising is missing.
