Steps to reproduce

  1. I have an external drive for backup purposes. It has been working until now.
  2. I unmounted (via driver manager) the disk and mounted it back again.
  3. Whenever I try to perform a backup rsync gets stuck at: Checking for sufficient disk space via rsync dry-run

Expected behaviour

  • I want it to go through the whole process

Actual behaviour

Any hints?

Thank you for your help.

How long did you wait before the backup failed? Did you connect the drive to the same mount point as before? Did you try searching for existing backups in dietpi-backup before creating a new backup?

Thank you for your help.

It takes ages checking for space (or at least more than before), let’s say that more than 15’.

The mounting point is the same as before. I checked the location too under the backup menu.

I didn’t look for backups before.
