hi,
afaik with an rpi3+ you do not have to configure anything, as it should work out of box…
however i am unable to boot from usb.
i tried a cloned version from the sd card,
i tried the sd card in an usb adapter,
i tried a fresh bootable stick flashed with etcher…
don’t know what to do… any ideas?
also, as a sidenote… (maybe i should open an extra topic for that)…
wifi doesn’t work either. i can scan for ssids, find the right one get an ip address inside the network, and it says connected, but can’t connect to internet, and can’t even ping other devices in lan or being pingable…
cheers guys.
btw. i run dietpi bookworm and everything is up to date…
Can you connect a monitor to the RPi and check on the screen where is it pausing the boot?
As you said, if all goes well it will boot and you should be able to connect from SSH.
hehe, ya, i just bought me a eth cable today long enough to be close enough to where my monitor is…
bringin the monitor to the router would have been a real drag…
hi,
good news, so with the etcher flashed usb i was able to boot from usb…
probably couldnt ssh…
and also i was expecting to see the yellow light flashing, which did not.
funny enough, now, with usb boot, i dont see no lights at all, not even te red one…
anyways, now i’m trying to restore a backup from teh sd card on the usb…
i’ll keep you posted…
hey,
so after retoring the backup, i wasn’t able to boot.
i sould have mentioned, that the backup was fro an sd card that was installed on a rpi2.
after the restore it asked me to reboot to update the kernel, which i ignored.
instead i unouted the backup usb, and then rebootet…
i’ll give it another try…
but i’ definitly getting closer…
correct. it didn’t. i just start a knew one from scratch for rpi3.
any idea how i can move the baikal db?
or all the right files i need to migrate the calendars?
You probably followed our documentation and using MySQL, so you can create a dump of baikal database and import it into your new installation:
run as root or with sudo:
