RootFS is currently Read Only (R/O) mounted. Aborting...

Many thanks for sharing the video. Appropriated the time and effort you spent to create it.

Hi all,
With regard to this youtube tutorial on moving DietPi to the onboard sata drive on an Odroid HC1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QdBFpEzwM0&
It was written for the older Stretch image and I am now trying it with the newer DietPi_OdroidN1-ARMv8-Buster image and have run into a problem. There were a few small differences, notably in the fstab file (PARTUUID in place of UUID for the entries of the partitions).
But my problem was at the 29minute mark of the clip when I attempted to

mkdir /mnt/data

and received an error

mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/mnt/data’: Read-only file system

.
Does anyone have any idea how I could rectify and proceed? It seems I can’t write any permissions changes to the read-only partition (I’m assuming it’s the rootfs partition that has become read-only).

Update: I posted this before I saw the other post.
In a few hours I’ll get the chance to read the Github post and investigate from there. Hopefully it’s the same issue

I merged your post into the already opened one.
