Replicate setup in a new device

hi !
I’d like to install the latest DietPi version somewhere (could be an Odroid C2 but I’d rather use a VM) to test several apps I’ve never tried before and, once I’ve decided which ones I prefer, do a “definitive” install on my XU4 (which is currently running something else).

But I wonder if there are any built-in means to replicate my test config without having to either manually configure each up or manually backing-up each app’s config files scattered around.

I seem to recall there was some “backup your current config to restore it later” option but maybe that was from a different distro.

Did a quick search and didn’t get any matches.

Yes DietPi has a build in backup functionality, but it’s a full system backup. Means your entire system will be backed up and can only be restored on same system architectures and not on different platforms.
