Ramlog is active but says exited on Dietpi-services

Is it normal to have dietpi-ramlog service in active (exited) mode?

I issued the command dietpi-services status, and the system shows other services on active (running) mode but the ramlog service is on active (exited) mode. Is ramlog still working when in this mode?

yes that’s fine with that status. Same on my system :sunglasses:

root@DietPi4:~# systemctl status dietpi-ramlog.service
● dietpi-ramlog.service - DietPi-RAMlog
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/dietpi-ramlog.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (exited) since Sat 2020-03-28 15:44:44 CET; 2 weeks 2 days ago
 Main PID: 255 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
    Tasks: 0 (limit: 4915)
   Memory: 0B
   CGroup: /system.slice/dietpi-ramlog.service

root@DietPi4:~#

To verify you could have a look to the log file

cat /var/tmp/dietpi/logs/dietpi-ramlog.log

And if you do a reboot, you will see that logs are stored on disk and restored after system is back online.

Means the service is in a waiting/sleeping status until you do a reboot or poweroff.
