PiHole Odroid

Can we have PiHole back on the Odroid XU3/XU4 again. I miss it.

I tried installing manually but it was telling me the DNS service wasn’t started. Everything was running but the 1 thing that I actually needed for it to be useful. If anyone knows a work around please let me know.

It is back on the raspberry pi which is confusing. Why not the XU3/XU4?

Why? => Pihole no longer in optimized software? or Dietpi 6.2 / Pihole (broken)

Pi-hole currently test a new FTL version that includes the DNS server => FTLDNS: https://pi-hole.net/2018/03/24/help-us-beta-test-ftldns/
The dnsmasq package, which does not support Jessie any more, is thus included then, which should fix the issue/restores compatibility with Jessie.

On the other hand we are closely following the Stretch image process of our preimage from Meveric: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/1552

There are workarounds, e.g. provided by k-plan, but as also mentioned within the link, this is nothing we can recommend and include as end user solution within our images, nor guarantee support.

That makes sense. Once odroid is running stretch as well or they get Jessie support for their FTL we will get it back again. Until then I will have to unpack my old raspberry pi for a pihole.

Thanks.
