Hey all, thanks in advance. So I installed pihole and nextcloud. But pihole interfere with nextcloud web interface. I also installed lighttpd as well. It all standard config
Been struggling to have it all worked together.
What do you mean, it interferes?
Nextcloud is reachable via http://<your.IP>/nextcloud while pihole interface is reachable via http://<your.IP>:8089/admin/.
Well for some reason, it rerurn with the 403 error and the a link to redirect me back to pihole
When you try to reach pihole on port 8089?
So normally when you install nextdcloud the installer is asking which webserver you wanna use, there you choose lighttpd?
And pihole does not need a webserver anymore, it’s comes now with an integrated one.
Can you share the output of the following command
sudo ss -tulpn
No it did not ask me if i want to use lighttpd or what not. The pihole web didnt work when i first installed it. It returned the error: “ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED”
I think it only work with port 80 because the pihole web only answer through port 80. Not 8089
The output of the command:
Netid State Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address:Port Peer Address:Port Process

Did you install both via dietpi-software?
Yes
But your pihole instance runs on port 80, 443 and 53, but it should run on port 8089, 8489 and 5335.
Did you change the config or anything else? Doesn’t look like it was installed via dietpi script.
You can try to reinstall it.
I also do not see lighttpd running. Can you share
dietpi-services status
I uninstalled lighttpd alr. I did installed everything through dietpi-software. No changes in config
So no webserver is running and pihole is listening on the wrong ports.
You can try and reinstall pihole and nextcloud
Ok i’ll try
Ok everything works now. Thanks.
Dont know why the pihole didnt have the port 8089 on the first install.
I also don’t know. Had you pihole installed before and there was maybe old config left?
Whatever it was, it’s nice that it’s now working.
Yup that the purpose of the whole thing you know. I wanna block ad and stuff and then i kinda got it into a whole home lab stuff
