OrangePi Zero support

The internal wifi works fine. on boot however it fails, after the system has booted up it works fine. I added a line to re.local to ifup it, and in etc/network/interfaces I added a pre-up line to insmod the module.

That seems great! As soon as I get my OPi Zero I will try your image. Thanks!

Hi,

As a fairly new user DietPI and Linux in general, is there any way to get the Orange Pi Zero to run a desktop? I want to run it remotely using xrdp and/or tightvncserver. Is this possible with the current build?

Yep, just tried tightvncserver on OPi Zero, works a charm
Just remember its on screen 1, so IP:1 (resolved) Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Hi

I am new to DietPi but old enough for SBC with some humble knowledge on Linux.

I am install diet pi say V139 on OPi Zero and config for Wifi connect on dietpi.txt.

It worked perfectly and I have ssh connect.

However, after upgrade to V140, It can’t connect to network any more.

I intended to config Opi zero as network player to my USB DAC.

Any hint for this? I have try several times re-flash but getting stuck after upgrade and reboot to V140.

Thank you.

Hi,

Strange, theres nothing in the v140 patch that targets OPi Zero or would effect WiFi.

Please try this service to resolve WiFi:
There is a known issue with WiFi modules failing to load during boot, on some boards. This may resolve the issue.
https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/635#issuecomment-266006050

Failing that, please paste results of following commands, so we can check for any errors:

dmesg | grep xradio
dmesg | grep wlan0

I get Wifi connected after resolve Wifi. Thanks.

Hi,

Apply fix manually but still error

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of apt-transport-https:
apt-transport-https depends on libapt-pkg4.12 (>= 1.0.9.8.4); however:
Version of libapt-pkg4.12:armhf on system is 1.0.9.8.3.

Hi,

can you please test this:

I confirmed

installing the request version of this package (libapt-pkg4.12_1.0.9.8.4): worked!
