I didn’t see it in the preliminary report, but does it work when you boot another OS?

:clock1: ello

I have the same issue with a CM4

Can you try this command line in a terminal ssh and give your output

export DISPLAY=:0

xrandr --listmonitors

Sudo startx

perhaps some information in it
I do the same after work, my waveshare was recognized but the résolution is bad
and no conf in /etc/xorg

Hello again
my output

My waveshare screen’s size is 1280x400 , it’s a 7"9 inch hdmi and touchscreen

Hello trendy

For me yes with opios or third party raspios but both use lightdm

With Dietpi and a littlebit further

Hello

Perhaps this link can help
HDMI can’t get mode for 1280x800 resolution

After a few days of test , in fact the Dietpi version works perfectly with my television screen and HDMI so it’s just a problem of resolution of screen
The link gived before don’t work for me !!!

There is nothing Dietpi here.

It’s exactly that !

Have you an idea how to solve this problem of custom resolution who is unrecognized ?
The 7"9 waveshare touchscreen was recognized by the orangepios with kernel 5.x
and also the raspios with same kernel

Better to use other hardware and other OS where this works.

It is not the same.

I don’t think it’s a hardware problem
On my TV screen the HDMI output of the CM4 work perfectly
And I don’t think that the os it’s a problem too, many other os don’t work with the resolution of my 7" 9 screen with the CM4, except the official orangepi os and the thirdparty raspios for orangepi
It’s just a resolution problem
And the Dietpi os is perfect for what I need and want
