I am aware that I am making an improper report but I take this opportunity to share the information.
Mango Pi MQ Pro
A new starter image would be needed to test the 9.6 beta as updates from the unofficial image (see DietPi_MQ_Pro-RiscV-Bookworm.7z - Google Drive ) stopped with the latest apt update from the DietPi 9.5.1 beta. I haven’t noticed any problems other than APT, but I only use the command line.
I currently have Ubuntu Server installed (see https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/noble/release/ubuntu-24.04-preinstalled-server-riscv64+nezha.img.xz ) which works very well with this card and in general with the Allwinner D1 SoC (T-Head XuanTie C906 RV64GCY). By updating Ubuntu the kernel becomes a generic riscv64 6.8.0-36 accompanied by a new dtb that I attach here. What don’t I like about Ubuntu?
Welcome to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (GNU/Linux 6.8.0-36-generic riscv64)

Milk-V Mars
This SBC (with StarFive JH7110) up to DietPi 9.5.1 has not given any problems, I will try to update it. Again I use it only from the command line and I noticed that installing Pi-hole from dietpi-software does not work, while it works regularly with the method described in the software documentation ( curl -sSL “https://install.pi-hole.net” | bash ). As for how it works, there are occasional freezes up to 3 seconds and the perceived performance as a user is not better than what you can get with the same software on a Raspberry Pi Zero (with USB Ethernet).
Raxda Rock 3 C
I might try this SBC too but for now only the Armbian community supported image is available (see https://github.com/armbian/community/releases/download/24.8.0-trunk.6/Armbian_community_24.8.0-trunk.6_Rock-3c_bookworm_current_6.6.31_minimal.img.xz ).
I hope the information provided helps to expand the hardware supported by DietPi.
it might be good to open individual issues at GitHub for your challenges with apt and PiHole.
Seconded. Also feel free to open or append to hardware/board requests regarding the SBCs you mention. It has all however nothing to do with the current beta .
Many thanks to all testers !
