ODROID XU4 - Kodi

I’ve decided to build a replacement Kodi box, but I’m having issues.

I’ve done the following:

  • Install DietPi
  • Install Kodi from the dietpi-software console
  • Set Kodi to load at boot
  • configured sound the the default adapter via dietpi-config

When Kodi loads I get weird sounds and video does not play at all. Does anyone have this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

I have the exact same issue as above on my odroid-xu4.
It boots correctly into Kodi, so that part works fine, I’m also able to use the gui, only problem is that I can’t play any kind of videos, no sound nor image at all, it just stucks when starting to play files.
Also there’s no option for disabling hardware acceleration (as many related search results would suggest in case of video/sound errors with Kodi).
Does someone have any suggestion?
