Odroid-C1+ (S805) finally happy again with DietPi Trixie on eMMC – thank you!

Hi the whole DietPi team,

Just a quick note to say thank you for keeping the ancient Odroid-C1+ alive in 2025.

The current Bookworm image was giving me the classic S805 Ethernet negotiation headache on first boot (no DHCP lease with my OpenWrt MT7621 router, despite all the usual boot.ini tricks).
I flashed the Trixie image directly onto a 32 GB eMMC module and everything works perfectly from the very first boot:

  • Gigabit Ethernet up immediately

  • DHCP lease taken instantly

  • SSH reachable right away

  • Full boot on eMMC in few seconds

  • Rock-solid so far (kernel 6.12, all packages up-to-date)

I’m now running it headless as an ultra-low-power MPD/Navidrome endpoint (3–4 W total with a Topping D50 III incoming) and it feels exactly like the old 2012 days with my Seagate Dockstars running archlinuxarm, but now with a modern stack.

The C1+ was gathering dust for years – you just gave it a second (third?) life.

Big respect for still supporting these old Amlogic boards in the future branch and for making the eMMC experience flawless.
