New install, crashing with CPU stall warning with heavy file access to SMB network share

I created a new DietPi install on my Odroid N2+. It works fine for days, but if there is heavy file access, such as downloading many files to a SMB share drive, mounted on boot, after a few minutes I lose SSH access, the OS appears to crash, and when I look at the monitor I get endless CPU stall warning messages. I am also using Wireguard.

How can I check the log to see what might be causing this?

Thanks.

how much swap do you have?

I wonder if encryption the Wireguard of the dataflow causes heavy CPU spikes and causes the system to hang/stall

If you have local access still, check resource consumption using htop
