Network shares + Permissions for non root

Hi there, very n00by question here. I have tried my best at googling and looking through the forums and various linux related sites and tried a few things without any success so thought I’d post here hoping for some guidance to something which I believe shouldn’t be this hard!!!

I’m experimenting with DietPi on a RPi2 which has fallen into my lap, and recently stumbled upon Sonarr/Radarr and automation of these sorts of things.

My problem is that I mounted my network shares using the DietPi drive manager but only root is given read/write access? I’m not sure how to add write access to the dietpi group or individually to the services running. Sorry I’m windows institutionalised so go easy on me!
