I just have to be doing something wrong.
I’m trying to install Diet-Pi on a Dell Wyse 3040. I’m installing to the internal storage. All I want is Pi-Hole, I don’t need or want anything else but I’m presented with this huge list of software to chose from. I tried skipping it but then found that the Pi-Hole web interface is on the list. What’s stopping me from installing is at the very end where it tells me that Diet-Pi needs a static ip address I’m given 2 choices, continue and exit. I have already chosen a static ip address so I first hit exit and the installer took a dump to the command line. I then started over and found that choosing continue did nothing at all. I searched the internet and could not find detailed install instructions. I don’t understand the network config section at all. When I installed Diet-Pi on my other 3040 I did not have to go through this looooong install routine and don’t remember it being any problem at all to get it working. I suspect either the installer changed or else I’m using the wrong installer. I really don’t know what to do at this point. Any help and/or advice much appreciated. a kink to COMPLETE instructions would be nice.
