Would like to endorse MinimServer. A fine server that also provides a streaming service (which I have not installed since using upmpcli.
MinimServer also provides MinimWatch a java applet to remotely control (and update) the server from a PC.
Recommend.

I tried to use that a few years ago…very complicated and multi-layered install process. Could not get it to work.
Interesting indeed, I only know of one person who uses it, he seems to like it, but in “Audiophile” circles new/different often = good.
After you install it on your RPi let us know how it goes.
