I installed pavucontrol and pulseaudio and was able to get audio from a usb-c to 3.5mm dac. I then got a .dtb file and put it in /boot/allwinner, changed fdtfile= in dietpiEnv.txt snd got sound from the hdmi working. (The whole system is a bit unstable now, and Firefox is almost unusable so I don’t really know what happened with that .dtb file) (The mic wasn’t working before this too)
The problem is, I’m trying to get a microphone working and i just can’t get any input at all. If I connect it with a usb c to 3.5mm without a dac nothing shows up, and with the dac there is always an option in inputs but there is no actual input. The mic works with both adaptors on my phone.
The mic is just a cheap awei clip on, if it matters. Its got 4 poles.
Hello
Which dtb file are you using?
For your sound card, you need to manage alsamixer as shown in the link below and enable the input section. You need to search the alsamixer manual and enter the commands in the console, or in the graphical version if you have a desktop.
Sorry but it’s not possible to have audio input on the 3.5mm connector
It’s clearly marqued on the datasheet
It’s an audio output
With the schematic you Can see it’s on the pin Din of the i2s by the 40 pin connector that you Can found a solution with a Dac
Or via USB with also a Dac
Just don’t use images to share terminal output. You should be able to copy/paste everything directly from the SSH terminal. This increases readability as well
