Media Center Connectivity

Hi!

I am trying to create a media center using my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, a Yamaha YAS 207 soundbar, and a Samsung 40KU6072 TV. I am connecting the Raspberry Pi to the soundbar via HDMI, and then connecting the soundbar to the TV also via HDMI. When I connect the soundbar to any non-ARC HDMI port on the TV, everything seems to work fine. However, when I connect the soundbar to the TV’s HDMI ARC port, I encounter an issue where there is no video signal, only audio. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thank you in advance

If i get you right, you do it like this
PI → SB → TV
But you have other sources like PlayStation, so you need to connect SB to ARC port.
PI → SB ↔ TV ← PS
And in this setup there’s only audio from PI.
If I get it right, it’s because in this setup it works like this
PI → SB ← TV ← PS
So, it’s SB who receives sound from either PI or TV. As far as I know, you can’t use SB as two-way proxy. You need to connect all sources to common TV IN ports and connect SB to ARC port. It’s nothing to do with DietPi or any other software.
